Welcome to Tarbrax, Woolfords, Auchengray and District Community Council online.   The change of name of the Community Council was decided in October 2022 and confirmed at the Inaugural Meeting of the next four year term of the Community Council on 21st November 2022.

Those of you who have visited this website and seen the pages with the map of the area covered by our Community Council would of course have  known we covered more than just Tarbrax Village.  We hope the name change will help residents feel more included going forward.

The new name is quite a mouthful and the CC will be referred to on this website as TWAandDCC which will also be the new website name.

This site was first set up in 2017 to provide a link between the CC and  all Community Groups and  residents who wished to follow the actions of the Community Council through the Minutes of their monthly meetings.

It was hoped it would also be a useful source of information about community groups and events in South Lanarkshire.

You can also link to other groups in our area, either their websites or FaceBook pages.

Whilst originally designed to be viewed on laptops or PC screens, I have recently adapted the screens to be more suitable for viewing on mobile phones.  I hope this will be helpful once I get the hang of actually doing it!

With road closures and diversions a continuing problem, you may want quick access to information about roads in South Lanarkshire and West Lothian Council areas.   A separate section for 'Roads and Transport'  has been added under the 'Useful Information' Tab  with quick links for direct reporting of road and lighting faults.  There are also direct links to information on current and forthcoming road closures in South Lanarkshire and West Lothian.

You can see the area covered by the TWAandDCC on the maps on the next two pages.

We have recently added a 'News' section where current activities such as Fun Days and the new MicroGrants etc can be conveniently viewed. Local planning applications can be viewed on the Building and Planning tab under Local Information.  We hope this is helpful.

Browse through the site using the menu above to find key information about your Community Council, what we do and the rules that govern us.  You can also find out how you can become involved should you so wish.

We have added a short Privacy notice under the 'HOME' tab stating that cookies are used on this site.  If you do not wish to continue using the site knowing that cookies will be placed on your PC by the web site developer, please leave the site.   No personal information is collected.
