The Tarbrax, Woolfords, Auchengray and District Community Council area lies within Clydesdale North Ward of the South Lanarkshire Council.   It is outlined in blue on the map below.

While originally named after the Village of Tarbrax, it includes the three largest villages in the area: the villages of Tarbrax, Auchengray and Woolfords, and also incorporates small clusters of dwellings at Falla, Ampherlaw, Polkelly, Auchengray Station, Fordmouth and Lawhead and several farms scattered throughout the area.  The map below shows the original name of Tarbrax CC and will be updated as soon as  South Lanarkshire Council produce an updated map showing the new name of the Community Council.
